Based on the gradual cancellation of the ban on contacts and the urgently needed "start-up" of the economy, more and more people will return to their jobs in the next few weeks and months. In any case, employers are responsible for the health of the employees and the smooth operation of the company and will therefore be particularly challenged in the near future.
In this situation, it is most important that there is an effective method of being able to completely track all contacts of a corona infected person within a company, should this diagnosis occur. But who has the infected person been in the canteen with in the past few days? Who was in the meeting with the sick person last week? Who are the relevant late shift colleagues?

Of course, we cannot stop the Corona virus itself with the Corona Pager solution - however, we would like to make a valuable contribution to protecting employees and reducing the risk of failure and ultimately costs for employers to a minimum and with considerably more transparency regarding a potential chain of infection in the company to be able to maintain operations.
Solution Conception
A smartphone-based solution (“Corona app”) may be sufficient at the state or federal level, but it contains too many gaps for a company. Some employees do not have a smartphone, others have deactivated Bluetooth and many have justified fears because they do not know what data could still be collected from the phone (data protection). In order to enable your employees to work safely in Covid-19 times, at the same time to take employee concerns seriously and to keep any business damage in the event of an infection as low as possible, Compike has developed the Corona Pager in cooperation with our technology partner metraTec.
The small and very light-weight Pager (similar to an employee badge) registers other Pagers in its vicinity by radio and sounds an acoustic alarm if the distance falls below 1.5 meters for at least 20 seconds. This means that the pager is an active help and support in complying with the SOCIAL DISTANCING recommendations that apply worldwide. In addition, these events (= contacts) are saved locally on the Pager for 14 days. However, the Pager itself has no employee information, just the Pager ID, which is then linked to the employee data in the backend system. If an employee should now report sick with Corona, all you have to do is read the password-protected pager and get the contact list of the last 14 days - "the potential chain of infections". In addition, companies can even decide whether they want to investigate another, deeper potential infection level (2nd level, contacts from contacts). Instead of closing entire departments, areas or even locations or plants, you can subject the relevant employees to a Corona test according to the contact list or send them to quarantine. Misuse by third parties is excluded by password protection.
The initial assignment of Pagers to employees or visitors (so-called "marriage") is very simple and pragmatic, even in large numbers, using lists that e.g. can be managed by the works council or the human resources department. Each Pager has a barcode (Pager ID), which can be assigned to an employee in a list by means of a convenient and fast scanning process using a barcode scanner connected to the PC via USB. Optionally, this assignment can also be made by manual entry, since each Pager is also printed with a human-readable ID. The lists are processed by numerous import and export functions of the Pager Software. Optionally, a connection to an existing HR or healthcare system can also be implemented.
